 JROTC is an elective course whose mission is to motivate young high school students to become better citizens. It is offered as AJROTC I, AJROTC II, AJROTC III, and AJROTC IV, it emphasizes leadership and teaches students useful leadership skills. Some of the events that they have are Veterans Day Parade, Military Ball, and the RDS Drill Meet at the school. Students can participate in JROTC activities after school such as rifle team, raider team, and drill team.

The Thomas Stone High School JROTC program in unique, because cadets must earn their uniform. First year cadets (LET 1's) can earn the right to wear the uniforms by achieving at least a grade of C or better on the first interim. The remaining LET 1's will be issued their uniforms if they earned a grade of D or better at the end of the first marking period. Second, third, and fourth year cadets (LET 2, 3, 4) have earned their uniform and will be issued a JROTC uniform at the beginning of the school year.

ARMY JROTC I(LET 1)

The AJROTC I program is a course based on leadership development and citizenship. Activities will include leadership theory and foundations for success.

ARMY JROTC II(LET 2)

JROTC II is a course in intermediate leadership development. It will include intermediate wellness, fitness, and first aid. Also included will be the geography, map skills, environmental awareness, and citizenship in American history and Government.

ARMY JROTC III(LET 3)

JROTC III is a course in advanced leadership development. This advance course builds on those skills developed in levels I and II. This course includes citizenship, leadership theory, foundation for success and citizenship in American government and history.

ARMY JROTC IV(LET 4)

The JROTC IV program is a course in advanced leadership development. This advanced course continues to build on all the skills developed in Levels I-III. Drill and ceremony, advanced communications, self-study, and assumption of key leadership positions are emphasized in JROTC IV.
